Volkswagen drives with LIQUI MOLY

The car manufacturer sells LIQUI MOLY products under its own brand Techparts.

Ulm, 21th June 2010 – One of the biggest car manufacturers worldwide, Volkswagen, has opted for the Ulm additive specialist LIQUI MOLY. Volkswagen Mexico is now selling LIQUI MOLY products under its own brand Techparts through its car dealerships and workshops. In the U.S., LIQUI MOLY products are available under the brand LUBRO MOLY.

“We’re proud that Volkswagen has included parts of our range in their programme,“ says Ernst Prost, managing partner of LIQUI MOLY. “This co-operation is further proof of the effectiveness of our additives and service products. Now we are not the only ones who stand for this effectiveness but also Volkswagen.“

Before deciding in favour of LIQUI MOLY, Volkswagen tested products from several producers. This revealed that the LIQUI MOLY formulations are the most effective and the most efficient. All in all Volkswagen is including nearly two dozen developments from Ulm in its programme: Techparts is on the outside and LIQUI MOLY is on the inside. Among these are the oil additive Ceratec, which reduces engine wear, lowers fuel consumption and extends the life cycle, as well as the Super Diesel Additive that removes deposits in diesel engines and thus lowers fuel consumption. In addition, the MoS2 penetrating oil and the particularly clean maintenance spray Weiss for lubrication are part of the selected products.

“It’s a great honour when a leading car manufacturer gives us its vote of confidence,” says Ernst Prost. “We are both proving that ‘Made in Germany’ quality is better than cheap products that may cost a little less, but achieve a lot less.”
