Fuel saving is a topic which affects everyone – particularly now when the owner or even the fleet manager looking after heavy commercial vehicles has to put up with the extra costs caused by increased truck tolls.
Every penny counts. The savings in fuel which can be achieved during the life of a truck by the correct choice of oil are considerable.
With a mileage of 200,000 km per year and a fuel savings of only about 1 % per 100 km achieved by using the new motor oil, it is possible to reduce the cost by Euro 450.00 per year for each vehicle. The availability of a motor oil with a viscosity of 5W-30 has long been overdue, especially in the case of commercial vehicles. This niche has now been filled with the new truck energy-conserving motor oil FE 5W-30 “Basic” from LIQUI MOLY.
The “FE” in the product name for the new motor oil simply stands for “fuel economy” to indicate the savings in fuel made possible by using the latest of LIQUI MOLY’s innovations due to the lower viscosity of 5W-30.
This also means that the oil is ideally suitable for vehicles used for short journeys. The faster oil penetration speed, particularly at low temperatures, protects the engine from excessive wear during the warm-up phase. The oil also provides outstanding cold start behavior.
